Paula Rosa Fürth geb. Hirsch

PAULA ROSA FÜRTH (also Fuerth) was born on October 11, 1878 in Ruhla in Thuringia as PAULA ROSA HIRSCH. She was married to SIMON FÜRTH and had children with him: Edgar, Herbert, Louise and Oscar Fürth. In 1938, the couple moved from Au to Freiburg to Rheinstrasse 17, today Rheinstrasse 15. They were obviously also related to ROBERT HIRSCH, because they lived together on Rheinstrasse.

On the high holiday of the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles, on October 22, 1940, PAULA ROSA FÜRTH was arrested and deported to the Gurs concentration camp with more than 6,500 people from Baden and the Saarpfalz. From there she was deported to the Récébédou camp. From there she was taken to Saint-Sulpice-sur-Leze / Haute Garonne. PAULA ROSA FÜRTH was murdered in the inhumane camp conditions on December 19, 1941 at the age of 63.
